Wow this installment in the Ten Tiny Breaths Series was a
stunner. I absolutely loved Ben & Reese's ride. I will say it was an
unexpected one. Let me explain...
When I heard Ben was getting his own book I was thrilled. Ecstatic!
I mean he was the handsome, mischievous, witty, devil we had grown to love in
the past books right? I expected it to be a quick, sexy read. He loved woman,
he loved strippers and he loved a good time. I had no expectation of the depth
Ms. Tucker was going to be able to pull from our Ben. We get a glimpse into his
life, his family and the responsibility and guilt that he shoulders. There is
way more to our sexy bouncer than meets the eye.
We start the story with him in Mexico celebrating. He finished law
school and gave his notice at Penny's. He's looking for a good time and he
stumbles upon a purple haired vixen that seems to fit the bill. Reese is in mourning. Reeling from the break
up of her marriage. She was very much in love with her husband and she was
blindsided when she literally caught him in the act of cheating. Her friends
hauled her to Mexico
to get her under someone new to try and snap her out of the funk she has been
living in. When Ben and Reese collide for a night of no-strings sex hilarity
ensues. So when they end up face to face at Ben's new law firm Reese is
mortified and Ben is amused. They fall into a comfortable pattern of banter and
attraction and I enjoyed every moment of watching their relationship unfold.
Due to both their hang ups and the strict no-fraternizing policy at the office
they fight to keep themselves under control. Can they? Do they want to? Can Ben
give up his hard fast no commitment rules to let Reese in? Can Reese let go of
the past and start new?
This book just worked for me. I enjoyed the entire cast of
characters. All the stories pooled together and woven to perfection. I dare say
this was my favorite in the series (forgive me Kacey & Trent). I highly
recommend you all one-clicking this one.
