I will admit I was excited but skeptical when I heard that Colleen Hoover and Tarryn Fisher were collaborating. I mean these two are amazing at what they do yet they have completely different writing styles so I thought “wow this is going to either be brilliant or extremely incoherent”. LOL I needn’t have worried…  It's a combination of Colleen's seamless flow and Tarryn's dramatic flare. A total mind-trip!

I would categorize it as YA Romantic Suspense. Light on the romance at this point in the story but big on the mystery. It’s set in New Orleans which gives it an even more “haunted edge” and really does weave well into the storyline. I love how the characters chose to “feel their way in the dark” rather than just showing their cards with their families and friends. Each step they take brings to light a piece of the puzzle. The puzzle we all can’t wait to solve. It’s exhilarating!

From the very first word to those jaw dropping last three words I was 100% absorbed in this tale. It was fascinating. I read through the night… I blue-toothed it into the car for my commute… I sneaky read it at work. I was mesmerized and you will be too. I am salivating for the next curtain to be drawn on this series.
