***IT'S SUGGESTED YOU READ MY EVERYTHING BEFORE READING MY UNEXPECTED FOREVER***

I expected a life of music.
I expected to raise my son.
It took one look to make everything change.
I never expected happiness.

I never expected to find her.
I never expected to feel desire.
I never expected I’d be a family man.
I never expected to be loved.
I never expected to fall in love.

They say you should expect the unexpected, I didn’t realize my unexpected would be the forever kind.

Review:

We first met Katelyn and Harrison in, Forever My Girl, Josie and Liam’s story. We know that Katelyn is a widowed mom of 6 year old twin girls and Harrison is a single dad drummer of 4225 West. Harrison fell hard for Katelyn the first time he saw her – he knew he wanted her and that he had to be in her life. So he moves him and his son, Quinn to Beaumont, where Josie and Liam live along with Katelyn, who is now managing the band so their lives are intertwined like crazy.

Katelyn – married and lost her high school sweetheart - has convinced herself that she can never love again; she can’t do that to Mason – who’s been dead a year. She doesn’t want her girls to get attached to anyone else and forget Mason. She’s so afraid of what everyone will think of her moving on even though all of her friends have told her time and time again that Mason would want her to move on and find love again but she just doesn’t listen. She watches Harrison from afar, won’t let him get too close, but has found herself extremely attracted to him.

Harrison- he’s not your typical rocker boyfriend. For one he is so smitten, yes I said smitten, with Katelyn. He has to know everything about her, he wants to love her, he wants to love her girls and become a family with them. Second, he’s raised Quinn all on his own since he watched Quinn’s mother walk out of his life. He’s all tattoos and hard on the outside but he has a heart of gold on the inside.

The kids though, Quinn, Elle, Peyton, and even Noah – they are an integral part of the story. Elle falls right into a relationship with Harrison, loves him even. Peyton, she is experiencing grief, sadness, and more. She pulls away from everyone especially Katelyn. Quinn is the protective big brother type. He loves both the girls and has some witty conversations with his dad. Noah – he’s just Noah, plays football, hangs with Quinn, and he too is probably protective of the girls.

Together they’ll give their relationship a go. They will face issues, problems from the past, and trust issues but will their love and determination be enough to make it work? Will Harrison finally woo Katelyn into believing in him and their relationship and their love? . This book is full of love, forgiveness, second chances, growth, friendship, second loves, and most importantly family.

I would have given 5 stars but Katelyn prevented me from doing that. She’s a great mom who’s been dealt a terrible hand in life but in my honest opinion, she’s just too malleable, if she had a little more “oomph” to her, I would have gone 5. But for that reason I gave 4.5 stars.

Favorite Quotes:

"Thing is, Katelyn, love doesn’t know the way someone looks."

"From the moment I saw her eyes, I knew she was the one for me, the one that is going to make my life complete. I made a change in my life because of her. I really can't see myself doing something to screw it up."

"Everything in me is saying give up; that I don’t need her, but I do. I need her like I need to breathe.-I don’t think she like my tattoos…   Quinn rolls his eyes. He’s far too smart for his age. “I think your tattoos tell a story, maybe she should learn to read.”
