Blurb

Fuck me recklessly
Kiss me harder.
Take me again and again…

He and I met under a cloud of clichés:
Boy meets girl. Boy charms girl. Boy fucks girl.
Our story was supposed to end right after the orgasms, right after we went our separate ways.

But then we saw each other again…
And neither of us could walk away.

Our rules were simple.
Our passion was scandalous.
Our hearts were supposed to be safe…

But when you find something so all-consuming—something so intoxicating and inescapable, you’ll risk everything you’ve ever had, even if you’re destined to crash and burn.

This is us.
This is our messed up love.
This is turbulence.

My Review
4 star ****

Turbulence was a wicked wild ride. Sexy and fast paced with intrigue to keep you guessing about each character’s secrets. Jake is devilishly handsome and very unattainable. I like my men a little on the “jerk” side so of course I loved him. I found myself both rooting for Gillian to break him while hoping he couldn’t be tamed. For me however Gillian was the star of the show… our broken girl. She was an oxymoron in stewardess clothing. She was strong and fragile all at once. Beaten down by the people in her life and struggling to prove that she was worthy of their love and respect. She had my respect from page one. Walking away and not letting one of those aholes force her into the being the person they expected her to be. Every single person (aside from her roommate) wanted her to fit into a box, from her parents and siblings to Ben and even Jake, and although caving would have been the easier route she kept picking herself up.  Being knocked down is nothing to be ashamed of… as long as you keep getting back up and fight to stand your ground. I think she did this the entire book and in the process she forced the people in her life to see her but most of all respect her. That’s what a heroine needs to be.

My one and only problem in the book was that I felt a few of the sub-plots weren’t worked out to conclusion for me. At least not the one’s with regard to Jake. I needed more closure or explanation. I think the book would have benefitted from a well worked epilogue or perhaps needed one more chapter to bring everything together. The author realized this after the fact and she released a separate short story to serve as an epilogue. Which both annoys and elates me and is next on my “to read” list. Hoping that clears everything up.

Whitney G just keeps getting better and better. The little story inside a story twist in this book was unexpected and fun. The sex was hot but the emotional entanglement and push-pull of the main characters and the mystery threaded throughout the story are what keep you completely compelled. I can not wait to get my hands on her next book!
