Bryna Turner is a spoiled brat. The daughter of a big time Hollywood director and an actress, she is part of LA’s elite. Top of the food chain at her high school, head cheerleader, and dating one of Hollywood ’s hottest up & coming actors Gates Hartman. All the boys want her and all the girls want to be her. She has it all… or so it seems.
Just like ever fairytale… there is usually darkness hiding somewhere in the shadows. Reeling from her parents divorce and her father’s shocking marriage to a woman from *gasp* “The Valley”, Bryna is forced to play house with her new stepmother and stepsiblings that she loathes. Although her stepmom Celia tries to bond with Bryna while daddy is away, stepbrother Pace does all he can to torment her. She is miserable at home and avoids it as much as possible.
So what is a bored little rich girl to do??? Use her status and daddy’s fame to party it up at the hottest nightclubs in town of course. While out one night Bryna meets Jude a mysterious older man with great tastes in all things. He is sexy, high brow and just what she needs to keep her mind off all the trivial nonsense in her life. He is a game she wants to play while Gates and Daddy are away. A hot, sexy, game. That’s all… but soon Bryna finds herself caught in her own web. Wanting more than just a fling… how can she reveal who she really is to Jude without losing him? She just has to make sure she has him fully in her snare before she lets the cat out of the bag… he wont be able to walk away then right?
The question is… is she the one playing the game or the one being played all along?
Diamonds is KA Linde at her best. The characters are cunning, self assured and wise beyond their years while showing their age through their mistakes, their entitlement and longing for more. Capturing the sad but true state of the young adults growing up too fast in today’s culture of excess. She tackles the controversial topic of a forbidden yet consensual May/December romance head on. No holds barred. It may be uncomfortable for some but it sets up perfectly the events that will drive us full speed ahead into this new series. If you like an exciting, angsty and anger spawning wild roller coaster of a read this is just the book for you. Now if we could just get our hands on GOLD… like yesterday.

“What’s going on?” He seemed to be growing more alert.
“I’m breaking it off.”
“You with someone else?”
He didn’t even sound hurt, just curious. She had suspected as much, but it irritated her more than she had thought.
“Yeah.”
“All right. I’ll see you when I get back to L.A.”
“No,” she said, frustrated. “This is really over.”
He chuckled softly into the phone. “Bri, you want other dick. That’s fine.”
“Why is that fine?”
Gates always brought out the more human side of her that she usually hid behind her hard exterior.
“Because I’m on the other side of the country and not able to give you what you need. When I come back, we’ll figure it out.”
She shook her head. Why does he have to take this so calmly?
Fucking asshole.
“We’re not going to figure it out. I don’t think I should have to dumb it down for you to understand what I’m telling you. I said, it’s over. I mean, it’s over. Good night, Gates.”
She hung up the phone before he could say another word. Well, that was an interesting conversation. Of all the things she had expected from Gates, she hadn’t wagered for disbelief. She was Bryna Turner. She could get any guy she wanted. How could he not believe that I would find someone else? Is he that conceited?
By the time he realized that she was serious, she would be long gone.
“Ready to go?” the man asked, coming up behind her.
“Yes.”
“Good.”
He didn’t ask about her conversation, and she was glad. She didn’t want to tell him about it.
“Lead the way,” she told him.
Grabbing her hand, he walked her through the crowded bar and out onto the street. He passed his ticket to the valet. A few minutes later, a shiny Jaguar convertible pulled up in front of Allure.

About the Author
